I have a project for sale that is a mixture of Legal Eagle fuselage with MiniMAX wings. I bought the project about a year ago and have worked on it some but have decided I probably am more interested in cars.
The wings were apparently built from a MiniMAX kit since there are "RS" part numbers stenciled on some of the parts, The fabric had been overtightened and pulled the trailing edges away from the ribs. It's not a terribly uncommon problem and there is a recommended fix from MiniMAX. But, as a result of that and some poor storage problems the trailing edges will need to be replaced.
I have stripped the fabric and removed the glue residue off of one wing and both ailerons. Both ailerons have had minor repairs and have been re-sanded and a light coat of varnish applied. The wing that has been stripped has been cleaned, the top trailing edge removed for replacement and sanding partially done. the 2nd wing is still covered but appears to be in similar condition as the one I've begun work on.
The fuselage is legal Eagle design but has been modified somewhat from plans especially in the wing attach area. It could stay as-is or it would be relatively easy to rebuild more per-plans.
The tail feathers might be LE XL. Some of the parts may work with slight changes and some will likely need to be rebuilt from scratch.
There is a partial instrument panel included as well as the landing gear with band brakes, wheels and tires.
Price for everything described is $1400 Cash
As a possible add on, the fuselage currently has mounts for a 2A042 engine. two such engines, one engine mount and a nice 54 X 22 wood prop can be added to the project for an extra $600. There are also a new set of pistons and jugs for future engine freshening as needed. I will not sell the engines separately unless the buyer of the airframe package has a different engine in mind and the project is sold without engines.
