If you were going to hang a two stroke 50-65 hp say a hirth 3202 or rotax 503 to an air frame that is pretty slow say 40-55 mph, should you gear it so the prop spins much slower?
I'm thinking at slow speed a slower prop pitched to move more air would be much more efficient than one spinning fast with a low pitch.
or do you just direct drive it and spin the prop at 5000 rpm.
remember I'm a pilot used to seeing 2300-2400 rpm in cruise.
