So I'm flying along this evening doing some ski flying in some local hay fields when I notice that one of the EGT needles has dropped to the bottom of the temperature range. After a brief moment of "oh crap!", I realize that the engine sounds fine and that it's probably just an instrument error.

I get back to the airport and swap the leads and sure enough, only one side of the guage is working. Is this common? Is there a fix for it or do I need to shell out $100 for a new one?

It's a Falcon E2-002.

Thanks!

PS - I've been flying in some pretty cold weather... any chance that is a contributing factor?
