Having seen the EAA, Lance Hooley, Jet Guys webinar (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Izm3CGZDFo ) there seem to be some bit's not covered! Especially the conversion of a free power turbine engine to a thrust producing turbo jet. Does anyone have any wisdom to share about converting jet engines for shaft output to turbo jets for thrust output? It does seen that that there are lots of fair power APU units and several moderate power helicopter engines that would make enough thrust with the right conversion. Especially as it seems that exotic metals may be needed the conversion needs to be by calculation rather than by trial and expensive error.
