Hi all,
My search for the perfect plane has brought me to the Spencer Air Car. A plans-built amphibian listed in Kit Planes as "CTWF" for Composite, Tube, Wood, & Fabric. It appears to me to be a really good plane for my variable mission.

The question for this august group: can the wood structure be replace by composite & be stronger, lighter, & more rigid?

I've included two photos of the plan construction.

Please advise,
