I have been in touch with a DAR regarding renewing the airworthiness certificate on my Experimental aircraft and the DAR tells me that I will have to make up a flight test manual as if this is a "new" aircraft. This aircraft was issued an airworthiness certificate back in 1957 and the aircraft was flown for 9 years and all the flight testing was done and the aircraft was released for unlimited flight back in 1958. I have all the records including log entires for test flights, FAA approval for the release of the aircraft after testing - everything including the weight and balance, updated records, etc - The aircraft is in its original configuration including propeller, engine and instruments - nothing changed except new fuselage fabric and paint. Unfortunately back in the 50's there were no flight test manuals and the testing information wasn't recorded. Any suggestions on how to deal with this issue or anyone that has gone through this please let me know.
