I'm practicing my welding with a Miller Maxstar 150 with argon. I'm welding 3/4" .035 4130 with RG-65 rod at about 30 amps. Could you take a look and let me know what to improve?
The attached image represents the average. Certainly not the worst, but not the best. I sectioned several of the welds, and they show full penetration.
I've also smashed several with a hammer and crushed several with a hydraulic press. None of them cracked.
