Found this article from 1965. I've read a lot of evangelical preaching about AOA indicators as a safety item, and don't disagree.
But the above article discusses how you can use an AOA indicator to set max rate or angle of climb, and it becomes a much more useful item than "don't stall" warning. A big plus for twin owners too.
