Hi there. First time poster. A Sonerai is at the top of my list of things to build. 8) Deep in the research stage at the moment.

I was wondering if anyone had any more info or pics of this aircraft from Italy. Reg appears to be I-4010. Looks like a single seat II, Rotax powered, has a taller tail and different gear legs. I think the cowling looks really nice and gives the plane a totally different flavour. I really dig it.

HL,
Welcome to the site!
I've never seen the Sonerai you've posted however comma, being a New Zealander you need to travel to Stratford Aerodrome on the North Island and meet Wayne Richmond.
He's built 5 Sonerai's and there are 8 on the field there. It's considered a Microlight in your neck of the woods...

Here's 2 video's from an Italian R912 powered version you'll enjoy.

Thanks Smokey.

I've met Wayne, he was very kind and showed me a couple of the Stratford Sonerais. Wonderful machines and a top bloke! Stratford is a really nice spot too.

Those videos are fantastic.

Yeah it's pretty great that the Sonerai fits in the microlight class here. As far as my research suggests it's a lot of bang-for-the-buck. It's at the top of my build list right now and visiting Stratford absolutely reinforced that. 8)
