I just bought a 2.0 with a gearbox on it. Anyone have any experience with gearboxes on fords? Was the javelin a gearbox or belt drive? Where do I get more info on what I bought here?

Might help to mention which Ford 2.0 it is because there's quite a number of them and variants.

If you are referring to "Javelin" as in the Dave Blanton engines, it had a belt reduction drive.

yeah I was talking about the dave blanton one, That was the only ford that I had ever heard of other than the pietenpol guys. This engine I don't know too much about just yet. It's got a progressive carb, points, apparently it was European 2.0.

I can certainly post some pictures and put it on scales after I pick it up but don't have too many specifics right now.
