    electric idea and need help?

I was planning to mimic the same a/c system used in the g2 just smaller and rather then using it for cool air use it to cool and maintain the motors tempt I saw a video online where a guy put a dc motor in liquid nitrogen and it worked better and was faster then what he was able to get via the...

more info regarding what you mean and what is that thing??

    electric idea and need help?

how does the math work in sense? im still trying to figure our how to choose an electric motor im not trying to exceed 1,000 pounds in the overall empty weight I need to figure how much the wing and batteries will be.. that's still a problem I know the tesla batteries work really well but I was...

    electric idea and need help?

I understand that but if you super cool the motor you lower the resistence and a simple air cycle machine witch ways little less then I think like 50 pounds can super cool bleed air and I could use that air. the only thing id need in piping and the mount points per what my plane is set up like...

    electric idea and need help?

So I here is the general aspect to my idea. Using two small maybe 8hp motors spinning a compressor blade, collect blead air off those compressor blades run them through an aircycle machine (such as how you get A/C on turbin powered aircraft) - Using this now cooled (forget the actual amount but...

    Possibility of single stroke engine.

Well it would be if your piston was at that top level. Fuel and air would be injected under pressure (same as if the piston compressed it) infighter that’s my Down stroke- at the very bottom of the stroke just before it would return up a valve opens and pulls via a vacuum the exhaust then...

    Possibility of single stroke engine.

I was thinking an electric driven compressor when the engines starting then let it be engine driven or geared up from the engine.

    Possibility of single stroke engine.

Looking into for the future of building my own plan. I like the common engines but I just want something unique per say. Would a single stroke engine be possible in the case that fuel and air would be pre mixed and injected just before top dead center then ignited and burned for the down...

    Electric propulsion and Superconductivity

So its primarily the torque that is needed to make the prop work. Is that due to the weight of the aircraft? Does this same info apply to ducted fans or UDF engines from GE, even turbine blades. I really appreciate the more detailed answer it makes sense why it would not be practical to. If...

    Electric propulsion and Superconductivity

this may make more sense- if I have an electric motor tied to a CVT tranny then to a prop and have the motor running just to spin the prop at a steady rpm of 100 and increase the CVT pullies what will happen? Will not the prop increase rpm and would it not be the same as if it was directly...

    Electric propulsion and Superconductivity

I looked into that and I came up with the idea of flushing the system before flight ( great idea given the original was to save money on fuel) chilling all the components and then flying till it warmed up again and needed to be rechilled.

    Electric propulsion and Superconductivity

Sorry! typed it up really did not think much would come? I can modestly understand your points. Didn't know about the liquid helium. I saw a video on YouTube where a guy put a little dc motor in liquid nitrogen and it made it run faster. Question though? if I run my motorcycle in 2nd or 3d...

    Electric propulsion and Superconductivity

Current student for my A&P- love the airframe and such but the engines confuse me. I want to build my own sport plane to fly about with but I am planning on doing the first to be fully electric. First question I really have is how can I not put a CVT tranny of sorts into the linkage of prop to...
