Thorp T-18 project for sale.
Adventist World Aviation is an aviation based mission non-profit. We recently received a Thorp T-18 project as a donation. We would like to sell the project to a new builder who can complete the project.
The orginal owner passed away, his wife donated the all project components, plans and documentation that her husband had. Includes an O-290G 125hp engine.
She had an EAA Technical counselor visit completed in August 2017. They determined that the project is 48.69% complete. In the report it is noted "completed parts appear to be of excellent build quality. Attention to detail is very apparent. Even the zinc chromate primer is uniform without drips or runs."
The project is being built from plans purchased in 1967 from John Thorp (the letter acknowledging the purchase, signed by John Thorp is in the documentation). The serial number for the plans is #585.
