I recently bought a project plane that came from an estate sale. Part of what the gentleman had accumulated is a pair of Stinson 108 wheel pants.
The wheel pants are in what I'd call fair to good condition and have some shallow ripples. There are a couple cracks along the bottom, but I'd think they're quite restorable. I haven't seen any actual creases in the aluminum and would think that would make them relatively easy work for someone with hammer & dolly skills. The top trim strip is in nice condition.
I'm pricing the pair at a firm $200 + shipping. I'd rather go "consumer direct" on a sale of these but will probably list them on eBay soon if there are no takers. I have a few more photos and can send them via e-mail. Please contact me (Lynn Winter) at [email protected] or (573) 788-2574 with question or to get more info.
Thanks
Lynn
