Hello everyone...its been a while since I last posted. We have accomplished quite a bit over the past 2 years in the development of our hydroplaning floatwing amphibian. You can see some of the results of this work by simply typing in "SeaStryder" while in YouTube. There are videos of both the 1/8th scale and 1/4 scale aircraft in action. The 1/8th model confirmed the choice of wing areas, rigging angles, control sizing and provided observation of general qualitative hydrodynamic and aerodynamic performance and handling characteristics. The 1/4 scale aircraft is instrumented with an on-board data logger and provided quantitative data for analysis of water and flight performance. The 1/4 scale aircraft also provided a means to select the composite construction techniques we will use for the full size "Stryder200" aircraft we are currently constructing. First flights of the 1/4 scale aircraft were accomplished but these were just short "hops" in ground effect. More video will be shot in the spring of 2010 in ground-effect and at altitude.

Enjoy :)
