Been thinking of buying one of these little traffic avoidance devices before I start flight training. They are coming in more varieties now. TrafficScope, PCAS MRX, Traffic Watch, etc...

Of course the best TCAS is several eyes looking out the cockpit, and electronic gizmos are no substitute. But I'm thinkin this "Poor Man's TCAS" is worth the bucks, particularly round Seattle.

I know a person at work that stopped flying due to close calls (two in one day). I've heard stories from co-workers about TCAS going off and saving bacon while at work. Two guys that worked on the same floor as I were lost in a midair last summer...

Been leaning toward one of these...

Anyone out there have one of these gizmos? Opinions? Comments? Stories? Suggestions?
