very interested in the homebuilt category. was looking at purchasing a glasair that is already flying.
1) on kit-built planes as such are there usually any restrictions vis-a-vis IFR flight as long as it is for pleasure and...
2) what if any maintenance would i be able to do myself? i hear conflicting stories. one person told me that i could do nothing and very few shops would work on the plane because of insurance reasons. another said that i could do all but the condition inspection and there seem to be plenty of shops willing to do that.
