Hello all,
I'm at the early stages of selecting my first homebuit. It has taken some time already just finding a kit that is close to what I want - the Fisher Classic. My criteria is: 2-place, open cockpit, high-lift (VVSTOL -haha), and (ideally) easily transportable via trailer. Is it realistic for me to think I could modify a wood biplane such that the wings would be semi-easily removeable?
What is a realistic build-time for a first-time builder (assuming better than average skills in this regard)? Perhaps twice what the manufacturer suggests?
Finally, are there some other recommended kits with similar specs to the Classic?
-many thanks.
Mike Scott.
