Hi, in the pdf I've attached are four figures. Two from FAR23 appx A, and two from FAA Basic Glider Criteria on tail loads. View attachment far23 vs glider criteria.pdf
I think I understand the first one with P1 and P2, although it looks tricky to test those simply. The second figure with the parabola doesn't make much sense. Is the the control surface the only part that's loaded?
The last two are very different from the first two. Any ideas on why it's essential to use the FAR23 one, vs the Basic Glider criteria?
