Ever used the CLarity SV ADS-b in?

I bought a Clarity SV used. I know they are out of production. I am hoping to hear from someone who has actually used one to see if you found that the ahrs attitude does not display unless you are airborne? The one I bought has all the lights on and the device page shows the GPS is valid but the seller (who I trust) says it does not show attitude for AH until flying. I am without a plane at this point so I was just checking to see if others experience is the same.
