New guy here. Been reading around and looking through this site. It's quite impressive how many intelligent people post on here, and even more impressive are the answers! This is a good place to get information, AND an education at the same time I believe!!!

Thus, a not so difficult question. When I start buying engine instruments for my 1835 VW, (probably 5 or 6 months from now) which is a more accurate EGT and CHT......the bayonet type, or the clamp style? Or is it apples and oranges? I bought the engine and prop, and that was it. No tach, oil pressure/temp, CHT's or EGT's...nothing as far as instrumentation goes. That all stayed with the plane.

I am going to use a mechanical oil pressure gauge though.....I'm sure of that much! I never did like the electric kind. Other than that, I'm not really sure which is best, and any help/input/opinions from you folks would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks folks.....

John
