Suppose you want to connect to tubes for compression members. Would you just use an overlapping tube, or would you sand in at an angle and scarf them together?
Given the super high compression strength of composites, even compared to epoxy, wouldn't the overlap need to be substantial? What is the shear stregth of epoxy commonly used for fiber carbon?
