I have a Trio Avionics EZ Pilot which is a single axis autopilot/wing leveller. The servo they use is both heavy and expensive so I am wondering if I can hook up a large RC servo to a trim tab on the aileron. I like this approach as it is basically just adjusting trim so any failure is easily corrected by the pilot with not much effort.
I read somewhere that the PWM is the same as the RC servos. Does anyone know if I can simply connect the servo to the head unit or is it more complex than that? The RC servo will need a different power supply of 7.4v
