Hopefully in a few weeks I’m ready to start my 30 hours solo for my ultra light licence.
To gain experience in the air while working on my ‘home build’ a purchased a CMF Shadow.
Problem is that the max (solo ) pilot weight is about 86 kg and I’m 92 kg…
My aircraft technique experience is near to zero and my solution is perhaps a little too easy.
Let me explain.
I’m planning to put de entire Ultra Light on 3 scales with a perfect 70 kg pilot in the front seat.
After writing down these numbers, I replace that perfect pilot by me ( not so perfect pilot in many way’s..) and ad some weight in the engine area until I have the same CG.
The Shadow is build for taking an extra 198 kg in the air (pilots and fuel) so even with adding some weight I will never pass the 398kg mtow.
The question is, does this solve my problem or aim I creating other problems?

Regards Johan
