    Weight distribution

I was wondering, could the horizontal tail on a conventional airplane be made to carry some of the weight if the c.g. was pushed aft a little? I have an r.c. plane called the funster that uses the same airfoil on the H.S. as on the wing, which means it produces lift. Below is a picture of one...

    Check this out!

Believe it or not this is a model airplane engine. I think it would be amazing on the front of a hummelbird, but the $10,000 price tag would scare away everybody but Bill Gates.

    Jeep

Any thoughts on a jeep engine conversion? Thease engines are extreamly reliable and very "torqy". I belive the torque curves are flat enough that you may not need a PSRU.

    Some materials questions

Is it cheaper to build with wood? I bought plans for an Ultracruiser because I love the idea of an all metal ultralight and I do plan on building the plane reguardless someday, but there has to be a cheaper alternative. I have been looking at the ragwings RW5 and RW6. On the website they claim a...

    chotia 460

What ever happened to the chotia 460. It powered the originial weedhopper. It was a direct drive two stroke. It had a reputation for being unreliable but I think that was a good concept and they should have worked out those problems.
