    I think the idea is a soft spinning rotor (like a spinning parachute canopies) The mechanism looks like it is an attempt to change the shape of the canopy and the frame around it is just a rig to hold it in place to prove the concept. Anyway that's my guess.

    Part 103 does allow multiple engines and retracts, However LSA does not. The question really is, can you stay within the margins of Part 103.

    He says the number of sail antisail changed. But the previous design had the same number i think just different length. Sail/anti sail was previously mounted midway to the wingtip/root via socket made in the wood and glued. Now its mounted to the square tube. Circa 2010

    Nah! Its a Skylite! I think the builder (painter) had aerobatic dreams. look at the landing gear, the strut mount, the tail, the fuselage. It's a skylite :)
