    Keep it simple, ON—OFF Valve with a header tank. Not if, but when one is in a state of panic may help. Having to think when brain is challenged usually won’t end well.

    What happened to the days when Youths could wash and wax planes and then the Pilot would take them flying as a payment. Then again FBOs and Security don’t want them anywhere on the airfield.

    Circuit board / Chip

    IMO relying on printed circuits and programmed components is setting oneself up for disaster when it comes to items that life may depend on. Stick with 3 wired limit switches. Third wire is for announcing conditions. Elect./Mech. Engineer happily retired.

    Self sealing or fireproof fuel tanks

    Has anyone here installed a Selfsealing / Fireproof fuel tank on their airplane. I don’t relish ending up in a fireball. Wife says Firefroof tanks and Airframe Balistic Parachute otherwise no go.

    Do what is correct and don’t be cheap about it. A chap from our flying group crashed and died because of crappy tank designs like this requiring sealant in the first place.     Good way to bleed out air in the handbrake on a Piper Cherokee ?

    I always pumped brake fluid through bleader at wheel and a sharp eye on reservoir. Never an issue. Bubbles rise.
