    DIY AHRS HUD

OP, I found this about a year ago. http://glass.aero/ They are using the same Epson glasses you linked. They also use some head tracking camera mounted on top of the cockpit to see where you are rotating your head.

    Another Canard Dream...

More update and a few minutes of engine related stuff. I stopped posting them since they didn't had anything engine related and that seems to be the big interest on how they solve torque/vibrations on the motor.

Elon Musk and the idea of a supersonic VTOL electric aircraft

He went ahead and proposed hyperloop for that exact reason and is not working on making tunneling machines 50x faster to be able to create underground tunnels/hyperloop to solve that. Thought I am personally bias on the STOL short haul transport aircraft they are definetly viable. I been...

Would you purchase a electric plane kit with the following specs?

BTW Cost of installation varies thought. I been looking at this and utility supplies three phase transformer/service cheaply but depending on how far away you are from the transformer you have to pay either the underground digging or utility pole if you didn't have pole into the site or...

Would you purchase a electric plane kit with the following specs?

I wish conversions like that Centurion Diesel would be more common in the US. About charging the Tesla HPWC (80 amps) charger is frequently installed at homes across the US without needing three phase. You are corrects that it needs strong fuse but a 80A HPWC only needs a 100 Amp fuse and most...

Would you purchase a electric plane kit with the following specs?

Funny you mentioned I started thinking about it a few hours before posting this. I know of course that a first step would be a experimental R&D for showing it's doable. But the STC route could work depending on how flexible the FAA is with those regulations that specify things for gas engines...

Would you purchase a electric plane kit with the following specs?

HBA, I am trying to see if there is a market for a product and what better way to know than to ask people that will use it! Would you purchase a electric plane kit with the following specs? 160 HP 1:15 Flight Time with 30 Min reserve 98 Kts 2 Person (Max Weight of 373 Lbs Pax + Cargo)...

HBA I am doing a survey for a project. Spare 2 minutes to answer it?

Hey trying to learn how the GA industry feels about different things and what hurts them is their biggest pain. I will work on making a info graphic/write-up of the responses in a week or two once there are significant responses. So you guys can also see what fellow pilots think are the biggest...

    Another Canard Dream...

Talking about engine they uploaded a video last week where they show the engine they have and It look like they moved the exhaust to the right position. Today they also uploaded a video about the mold for the glass I think??

OK so you can use the plug to make corrections without having to spend a few grand on steel or aluminum molds. After you have the right correctiona/final design you can mill more permanent molds.

    Another Canard Dream...

Apparently they are already vacuum bagging small parts. I swear he said he was going to use the plugs to make the molds and AFAIK you use the mold to make the actual part. So his making a negative of the part Why don't make the mold with the mill from the start?

    Another Canard Dream...

I think I understand all of your points except the EFIS and instrument one. Can you explain a bit why choosing what you are going to use for instrument at the end is a red flag? Apart from spending $$$ on something that you may not get to the point of using if your plane is never complete or...

    Another Canard Dream...

He mentioned that first flights are going to be conducted by a test pilot. I hope that the test pilot does a through design review before the flight and pre flight for every homebuilt/experimental he flies since his life is on the line. My suspicion and I am not sure if I heard this from him or...
