    Paulownia Elongata?

I met a fellow once who was building a Mariah ultralight out of Paulownia. He really liked it. I moved before he flew it so I don't know how good the finished product was.

Specs for a new motorglider design

I've wondered what plans are available for scratch building a motorglider, one that's more for touring than soaring. The closest that comes to mind is the Piuma Piuma Homebuilt Ultralight Motor Gliders from plans | Tiziano Danieli However, I would want something a little more robust; maybe...

    Mitchell Wing B10 - England

Thankfully my shop seems to be free of mice. Now for the raccoons (or armadillos) who to like to crawl underneath, that's another matter. I had been wondering if the Great Stuff could help.

    Mitchell Wing B10 - England

Looking good! Sorry I didn't see your thread earlier. Are you going to do the strengthening mods that Finland (?) required in the center section? Also, looking at some of the older B10's, I've found that bugs/rodents like to mess with the foam in the D tube. Wonder if there's a way to prevent that.

    Air Parks & Fly-In Communities

Oh it's a lovely airpark. It's just down the road from where I live (Belair Subdivision) and the fellow wasn't truly belligerent with me. This was before the two new houses were built. And don't worry, I don't have the right price! I only have an ultralight that hopefully one day I'll finish so...

    Air Parks & Fly-In Communities

I'm assuming Chandelle Airpark? I drove through it one afternoon looking at a lot for sale and had an unfriendly encounter with a resident. It's not a gated community and the street signs denote they are public streets so I was little confused by his agitation.

    Airplane For Sale Mitchell wing

If you get tired of hauling it you could drop it off here in Tennessee ☺️ .... Looks like a nice one!

    Airplane For Sale Mitchell wing

Barnstormers and here as mentioned. You may also get some interest on the Mitchell Wing Facebook group. Also Ebay. I own two B10s. One I'm finishing and the other is a rebuild. In the past several years I have never seen an A10 go for $10k. $1k will get it sold, $2k may take a while and if you...

    Aircraft Movers

I talked to a guy a few days ago who was hauling a boat from Florida to California. Dually pickup, 4 axle 5th wheel boat trailer, million+ dollar boat, oversize permits and an escort driver. He was charging $34000 to haul it.

An airplane for the modern homebuilding enthusiast

If you have someone to help it's easy to load a Mitchell Wing B10 on a P/U truck. Fold the wing, take it off the cage and set it on top. Then using ramps roll the hang cage into the truck bed.

    Italian/European engine comparisons

My intuition was telling me to aim for ~20hp so it's nice to see some actual numbers.

    Italian/European engine comparisons

Armilite thanks for the input. I always enjoy your perspective on two stroke engines. Always makes me think. Anyhoo, remember, the original B10s flew with the McCullough 10hp and I've had a couple of oldtimers with a lot of time in B10s tell me that the Zenoah and 277 are overkill. The original...

    Italian/European engine comparisons

I've talked to Jim through the Facebook Mitchell Wing group several times. I haven't heard of anyone trying a PPG engine but they do seem like they may be a fit.

    Italian/European engine comparisons

Nice!! And I'm even a member of that Facebook group....not enough time in my day to even realize something like this had been posted. Since the Wing has a decent glide ratio I'm not too uptight about trying an engine that I don't necessarily know a lot about beyond specs. Crazy there are RC...

    Sun n Fun 2021

I would enjoy being there. Not sure if I'll make it. However, I sure hope this thread doesn't devolve into a discussion about Covid. Political talking points get old after a while.

    Italian/European engine comparisons

Ok, has anyone compared all the brands of paramotor engines out there beyond which ones have the most hp? Simonini, Minari, Vittorazi, Cors-Air, Polini, EOS and probably more. Best place to buy in the U.S.? Reason I'm asking is I have a Zenoah G25 and Rotax 277 I was going to use for my...

    Craigslist

No, but I can ask the owner. I think it's never been flown and is completely finished. When I last talked to him I think he wants it to go to someone that will appreciate and take care of it. Don't remember the price off the top of my head but it was very low.
