    My project has taken a different direction and I no longer have any use for this. This is a 64" diameter right hand prop; so blades turn clockwise as seen from the front of a tractor-type plane as you're looking back at it (looking aft). Blades are new and never mounted as far as I can tell...

    It is a Rotator gearbox from Panther Airboats. WAY more than what is required here, but uses 2" spur gears and is good for 1000 hp. 20-some year history with hundreds of units in service, ...and known to be very reliable. Just under 3 grand. Edit: I forgot I'd posted this on here...

    I built an aluminum 4.3 V6. As pictured engine (with a gawd-awful heavy road-race oil pan) weighs 275lbs. With 1.53 gearbox weighs 350. Hp should be around 300. I think I can make an aluminum pan and knock a few pounds off. Here's a picture of it mounted on a test stand. Turns a 66x74...
