Here's a short vid of the engine I built for my deviant canard project; basically a jumbo Long-EZ with retractable gear.

The only production part in this engine is the GM crankshaft; everything else is top-shelf aftermarket. (except ingnition, which will be changed out to dual MSD) Gearbox is a Rotator 1.53 airboat drive. Dry weight on the engine/gearbox w/all accessories is 350lbs. This is w/o exhaust and cooling system.

The engine is mounted on an airboat-style stand I built for testing. The plan is to use this setup to get some hours on the engine as I am finishing the airframe so the engine is well proven before I fly it.

This video was taken a few minutes after the initial startup.
