If an airplane has an Apollo GX60 and a Apollo MX20 stacked up one on top of the other, how would I swap out for an Avidyne IFD440?

Avidyne advertises that it is a direct swap for the Garmin 430 and that their unit will slide into the same tray, use the same plugs and connections and antenna as the Garmin 430 unit.

So the question is...was the Garmin 430 a direct swap for the Apollo GX60 since Garmin bought Apollo for their technology? If the 430 was able to be swapped into the same rack as a MX20 then perhaps the Avidyne can also swap out using the same tray.

Then...I wonder if the MX20 would talk to and play with the IFD440?

Any suggestions?
