Hi, I have been fooling around with a redesign of a wing. Maybe I can get some feedback from others before I make what seems like a good idea into a mistake.

The wing is constant chord, no twist, simple structure with machined spar caps on the main spar, a formed aft spar, and .020 skin. The spars are 2024T3 and the skin 6061T6. I thought about making the ribs (almost a Clark Y airfoil) using carbon fiber. Two BID plys at 45 and one UNI for the compression loads. Assembly is very much like a Zenith wing with rivets.

Right now, the wing only exists in Solidworks.

Any opinions on this idea?

You will not hurt my feelings if you think this idea is not appropriate. I can always form the ribs.

Thanks!
