    PIK-26 Plans set in English

Hi KAL, Sorry for the delay in replying to you, I've been busy as a one-armed paper hanger lately. I don't know about a list of materials, or where one would be available, though you could kinda figure approximate wood amounts needed, or substitute similar wood type where loads don't demand it...

What did you do on your airplane project today?

Spent the last two days disassembling Estrellita, my Corby Starlet for the trip to Hilltop Lakes Airpark to go live with her new owner, Martin Rank. It's bittetsweet to see her go to her new catetaker, but it's time, I guess. Sigh...

Everything I Really Need to know I Learned from my Fly Baby

I had a basic "C" model Baby Ace. No electrics, radio, no nothing! It had a 75 hp Continental, hand prop starter, cotton in your ears and helmet and goggles. Paid $3400 for it, flew it for two years and sold it for as much. Wish I still had it and had just stored it away. Little did I know what...

Can you expand/explain about your elevator spring trim system? Also, if you have CG information, that would be very helpful. Thanks.

Everything I Really Need to know I Learned from my Fly Baby

It's not the plane's fault. "Momma, I shrunk the pilot," or super size the plane. Which is the single seater?

And no one to scream if you fall asleep at the stick...Yepper, I've felt special in my Baby Ace and my Corby Starlet. Also enjoyed my lone flight in a Fly Baby. There is something special about single-seat planes, and the smaller the better.

Hi Mike, I've long been aware of Max Brugger's Colibri. It's a fine design but I built the Starlet instead. A better looking single seater in my opinion is the Taylor Titch. I have the Titch plans and I've built most of the metal parts, but none of the wood airframe. I'm still leaning on the PIK...

    PIK-26 Plans set in English

Thank you. I understand the small plane/rough field and cockpit size issues, as well as the small wing area and lack of washout, which means coordinated slow flight for safety. I believe that at least 2 degrees of washout is needed in that design. Truthfully, I'm not sure at this time that I'll...
