    Really? The mountain is far away enough away as to not require climb gradients. A slight right turn puts one over the ocean. Could it be that they land over the beach because the wind is out of the east 90% of the time? I recall seeing "commerical" Otters landing runway 28. All of my landings...

    I have the standard "plans" difference of about 5 inches between the aileron torque tube and the prop. You would probably not want much less than that as the prop pulses will tear up your gap seal. If that's not a concern then I don't see much else that might be a factor except for the...
