Airfoil selection for an aircraft out there?

Sorry, just my .02 C as a scale RC nut. But don't you notice the fat leading edge of a corsair, bearcat, fw190, me109, etc., etc.?

Airfoil selection for an aircraft out there?

Won't look right with any kind of laminar flow airfoil. I wouldn't even think about changing from the original.

    cooling fans

Here's an interesting video comparing them. Seems they cool about the same and he has a great explanation/opinion of why.

    diffuser design info

He is the Godzilla on this stuff for sure. I seem to recall he doesn't recommend such an extreme bell mouth entrance to the duct though . . . ? Speaking of guide vanes, is this too much you think? I believe it's from a model of a Ki 61 fighter.

    diffuser design info

Wasn't sure of going with such a trumpet shaped diffuser design until seeing this. Accurate info yes/no? Great stuff on MCR wing as well in the downloads section of this site. http://contrails.free.fr/tunnel_en.php

Plug and play fuel injection ECU for LS engine

LS engines being so common now, any thoughts on if it might be easier (cheaper) to copy somebodies exact engine recipe, ECU and tune setup? If you could find somebody who would share that is. Just thinking that with my short stack headers as you can see, there will be no way to use an O2 sensor...

    Bolts subject to rotation

Yes, there are 2 flange bushings and all would be totally locked from rotation by tightening bolt but only if they butt against each other inside aileron hinge half. Great point and thanks for that! I think I will just make sure to get long enough bushings.

    Bolts subject to rotation

Ya, item 38 nut is inside the wing. Never to be seen again after top skin goes on. Frati was a genius designer for sure. Thanks for the pics.

    Bolts subject to rotation

Was designed in the 70's (SAL Mustang) so that explains it then. Thanks!

    Bolts subject to rotation

Bolting my ailerons on today and thinking these nuts (item 34) should be castle nuts with cotter pins? The bolt doesn't actually rotate once the nut is snugged up so is that why a normal fiber lock nut is ok? Cheers

    Symmetrical airfoils

ailerons rigged for -28 and +4 degrees deflection! Never heard of so much differential but sounds like it flew great.

Not available in North America though it seems . . . ?

    Propeller build

A real simple one you mean. Sorry, never took many pictures but not much to them. Just has to be rigid and use ball bearings to move freely.

    Propeller build

The airfoil plotting program Profili has some great propeller sections to choose from. I selected a turbo prop section to make templates to carve a master, then made a router copier to make three identical blades. Three blade prop with ground adjustable hub from an airboat.

Swept Back vs. Swept Forward Flying Wings: Which is Best?

Oh, I sure hope you find it. My project doesn't have any sweep, but the spar is far back at almost 50% chord. Getting ready to skin it now and thinking this layup method would help prevent undesirable "wash-in" under load.

Swept Back vs. Swept Forward Flying Wings: Which is Best?

Is this a good example of what you are referring to?

    VL Pyörremyrsky

More scary than a sky full of 2600 hp p47's?

    VL Pyörremyrsky

Fair enough but wide track gear makes a heavier plane. Tired of arguing with people about that though. Is weight not the enemy of performance? Especially with limited hp - no 150 octane fuel.
