    T88 and Epoxy based varnish

I mask off all glue areas prior to applying two to three coats of Poly Fiber EV-400 epoxy varnish. I am then assured of a good wood to wood bond for the T-88. The way I understand it, the T-88 penetrates a little into the fibers of the wood. If you used an epoxy varnish first, the T-88 wouldn't...

DIN standard metric bolts instead of AN bolts? Please help

As far as I know, there is no metric equivalent to AN bolts. AN bolts are standard SAE bolts made to higher standards. Many parts suppliers (Aircraft Spruce, and Wicks) can ship international.

    Sport Pilot Instructors

Been to that link many times hoping for some one near me. Unfortunately, there seem to be many instructors, but few available light sport airplanes. Why the FAA decided the Cessna 150/152 was too heavy to be included in the Light Sport category is beyond me. There would be many more pilots if...

    Test pilot approval

I'm no expert, but I don't think you have to have only one pilot fly the 25 - 40 hour test period. Read http://media.aeropunk.com/uploads/ac90-89a.pdf

Ever worry you won't be able to buy certain parts for a plans built plane?

If you have the plans, then you should have what you need to build the parts. I understand that making a canopy is beyond most home workshops, but there are companies out there that will be able to make it. The airplane I'm building (volksplane VP-1) doesn't have any parts you can buy off the...

Volksplane VP-2 or Fisher Flying Products Dakota Hawk?

The VP-2 is an excellent airplane if only made to hold one person, the pilot. Many of them are being built just like that. The problem with the VP-2 was when it was used to carry a passenger.

    Vp2 plans.

http://www.wingsforum.com/aircraft/VP2/VP-2%20Plans.html You'll have to download a bunch of jpg's. There used to be a PDF of them, but haven't seen it in a while. The VP-2 is no longer supported. Mr Evans had some liability issues with it I understand. I would also suggest buying the VP-1 plans...
