    Turbo-normaliser question

I was thinking more like 50-70hp, but at higher DA (mid- to late-teens?). For example, to get above the weather for, say, an hour...

I presume it would have to be designed by the builder themselves?

Scale sandwich composite Honda jet build condensed to 14 minutes

Actually, you need to use the materials with sufficient strength for that particular part and load pattern. If 30kg/m3 is OK, then you should use that one, otherwise 70kg/m3 should be used. It really depends on specific case.

    Turbo-normaliser question

Yes, but if you fly high, FP props are not going to be that good. Can't find this recommendation anywhere (i.e. "don't use on direct drive engines"), only that the instructions are different for install/meaintenance/etc...

What about the VP prop? I was thinking Ivoprop.

Scale sandwich composite Honda jet build condensed to 14 minutes

Well, the density for both is around 30kg/m3 (Nomex is 29kg/m3). :)

    Turbo-normaliser question

Hi all, just a curiosity question (more like a thought experiment) - has anyone tried to produce a turbo-normalised VW? That is to achieve the same power at higher altitude, (meaning NOT reducing reliability of the engine by supercharging it making it work harder that it would have been without...

Scale sandwich composite Honda jet build condensed to 14 minutes

Yeah, kind of got that - if you are lucky and wet out the cloth with just the right amount of resin (or produce a home-made pre-preg machine :) ), then you get the same weight, but you cannot get lighter parts. At least I don't see how! :)

Scale sandwich composite Honda jet build condensed to 14 minutes

My perception of Nomex Honeycomb is that it is harder to use it with non-prepreg materials - there is a chance of extra resin to be absorbed from the normal wet-out cloth and much more absorbed in case of resin infusion. Am I missing something, or is my understanding correct?

I think both options were review ages ago and both did not work: 1. Sending hot cooland - too much extra weight 2. Sending exhaust - extra weight plus too much soot etc. inside the wing. I'll the the others to comment on how much I'm wrong here. :)

Report: Boeing 'Put Wall Street First, Safety Second', Creating 'Yearslong Decline of Safety Standards'

Look, what else do you expect? They are top managers. As they, if the dog pees on the fire hydrant, it doesn't commit an act of vandalism, it's just being dog. :)

Dan, I understand that, but it is still ambient air with dust, particles etc. How much waste will accumulate in the wing after so many hours of flying? :)

And it is not even the cleanest air! What if it clogs the area inside the wing? I think that was one of the reasons why the reciprocating engine exhaust was not used for decing.

Unfortunately, it depends - for some shareholder it matters to get some income in 202x, because some funds are maturing or something.
