    Rotax 447 can't get above 3,000' MSL

    Problem solved! It ultimately turned out to be a micro air leak in the seal where the rubber boot secures the carb to the intake manifold. I hadn't checked that because it was a brand new part... and virtually idiot-proof to install. In case you're wondering... I didn't install it backwards...

    The air temps have ranged from 50°F to 75°F when the problems started occurring. I though that I had it fixed yesterday, when I got to 3,600' (OAT @ 55°F), but the problem returned that same afternoon. The problem happens on humid days, drier days... no pattern that I can see. My nest step...
