    Mooney (MX-18) Mite Plans....worth??

Yeah kinkos is gonna be a fortune. You need to find a reprographics company. I'm contacting a local shop on here in Orlando that I've used before to get an idea of a quote. Would some one mind posting the link to the drawings list?

    More LSA questions

Where are you at Dana? I own a Sport Pilot School down in Orlando FL and we teach the CFI-Sport. You are right in that most schools and instructors aren't looking to do Sport Pilot much less CFIS. www.FirstLandings.com Adam

Where are the fast high wing LSA kits?

You may have already heard this Jerry, but if you haven't, the AMD Patriot has been canceled....they had problems with their supplier down in Brazil (?) and won't be making the aircraft. Instead look for the CH750....Another STOL high wing!

    Computer Analysis....for those designing aircraft

Thanks for the input....I'm going to look into some of those you mentioned. I'm working on several projects, but the one I was interested in using some kind of analysis one is a high-performance prop plane....think Ar-6, if you are familiar with Arnold's designs. I'm still in the preliminary...

    Computer Analysis....for those designing aircraft

I'm wondering if anyone is familiar with J2 Aircraft Dynamics? J2 Aircraft Dynamics I'm doing all my designing in Solidworks 2009 right now and looking for a better way to run analysis of the finished models. Just curious if anyone has used it....or knows of another program that does similar...

    Rand Robinson KR-1 Plans

    The KR1 was first flown with a VW 1200 I believe...no reason you couldn't go smaller than a 1835.

    Rand Robinson KR-1 Plans

Mike were you able to get plans? I've pretty much decided that this is the plane I want to build. I wanted to know if anyone else is having luck...

    Another day, another new idea

You have any idea what your projected weight might be....with or without the engine. The plane looks like it should really have a jet back there! ;)

    Power concept?

It is an interesting concept, but like Mac said you can't create power. If you knew in cruise you needed lets say 25hp, you could have an ICE of ~25hp (not accounting for inefficiencies) powering the electric motor. The advantage here is you can have a smaller engine running at a constant...

    Electric Powered Fixed Wing U/L

So you are saying you should run the motor at all 50hp instead of just the 25hp needed for thrust??? And you are going to use the additional 25hp to run a "generator". If that is true consider these numbers...

    Electric Powered Fixed Wing U/L

Read this, it compares electric motors to ICE, it is for hydraulic power units but it still applies http://www.hydraulicspneumatics.com/200/Issue/Article/False/21791/

    Electric Powered Fixed Wing U/L

If that is where he is going it is already there in brushless applications. A brushless motor controller or brushless ESC (Electronic Speed Control) is used to vary the speed of a brushless motor. These function as an interface between the motor and the battery. Controlled by the throttle...
