At one point, yes....now for an OEM Almost: CLAW is short for control law Yes, and I am not saying based on just experience. I speak from known fact. PIO is bad ju-ju. Regardless whether it is a mechanical or FBW system, control 'rocking', as you call it, could lead to a PIO (or worse) if the...

No. This is NOT how you want to fly a plane....EVER. Especially an unfamiliar one. Why? Because doing it in an unfamiliar or incorrectly loaded or rigged aircraft can induce what we XP's call a "Pilot-Induced Oscillation". In a FBW aircraft, pumping the controls like that will drive up the...

I noticed the exact same thing. Not normal, and to be honest, not exactly something you would want to put in a promotional video. But who knows, it could have been turbulence or something. Either way, hopefully it is successful. Let the market decide.

No idea how this came across my YT feed. In any case, I didn't even know this was even a thing. You be the judge.

    A pilot’s fateful, career-altering flight under Michigan’s Mackinac Bridge

I'm glad he got to say that he did it, but there is a saying I heard during an exercise some years ago that stuck.... Play Stupid Games...Win Stupid Prizes

A Wind Turbine Design Application...looks neat!

I remember seeing those as a kid. Those Darrieus systems had a horrible 1/rev torque pulse, and were also limited to being close to the ground. This program, QBlade, is very XFLR-5 like in functionality...but is expected as it has XFoil in it.

A Wind Turbine Design Application...looks neat!

Okay...I need to clarify my original post. I was not seeking to use this program to transform a Darrieus/Gorlov turbine into a means to propel an aircraft. Come on, gents.... I was meaning to use the program to learn more about the designs of these wind turbines....in the context of wind/tidal...

A Wind Turbine Design Application...looks neat!

Call this kind of slightly off topic, but for you wind turbine fans (no pun intended), I just found this engineering application literally a minute ago. https://qblade.org/ Makes one wonder if it can be tweaked to aid in, say, rotor/prop design? Maybe I can set up a cycloidal or Darrieus rotor...

Craig Cato's New Propellor Gave Us Insane Results! | Whisper Sling Prop Test

There are many other propellers that have these design features; this is far from the first adjustable pitch prop, and certainly not the first to be constructed to the highest possible standards, my friend. This is simply one of many potential options out there. Sensenich, Whirlwind et al, make...

Craig Cato's New Propellor Gave Us Insane Results! | Whisper Sling Prop Test

Many propellers are the product of extremely high levels of engineering & craftsmanship, not just this one. We all know very well Craig Catto's reputation for great props...but there are other OEMs out there that do a phenomenal job as well. The specifics of the aircraft performance profile...
