    You're right, it is a crazy idea! The U2 has a tiny flight envelope, much smaller than conventional sailplanes and motor gliders, unless it meets up with a SAM, then all bets are off.

    I fly in a flight suit in the CAP. They don't allow pickle suits if you're wearing USAF insignia. Wearing a zoot suit on the other hand, will probably get you thrown out on child endangerment charges...

    They put out 40 to 45 HP at 3600 rpm. If you have a nice, long, smooth runway, and weren't in a hurry to get anywhere, it would work. They average about 120 pounds.
