Sorry, don't know if the designer is here or not.

7781 Parts off Male Mold. How to get the AIR OUT lol!

Have you tried to generously pre coat the surface with thinner warm epoxy before placing the 7781 on top? 7725 is definitely easier.

    Raptor Composite Aircraft

I haven't watched the video disclaimer. They may also be trying to match the (near 0) carbon coefficient of thermal expansion of the mold to the product. With some practice and care (&vacuum), room temperature cure epoxies can achieve very high material allowables without post cure.. Also...

    Value of kit plane molds???

Not missed. We are all speculating on the costs and condition of the molds and other details. I've seen some surprisingly small shipping quotes. It is an interesting motorglider - maybe he can get some help from an akaflieg, EAA chapter or autoreply :)

    Value of kit plane molds???

Been there..believe me when I say you want a GOOD walkaround-inspection. The release or death of all biting-stinging insects (critters) should be high on the pre-flight and landing checklist. They always seem to attack when it is quiet on short final ;)

    Value of kit plane molds???

Ah, but can you get wave free sailplane quality wing molds in a weekend? Something else to check on the Windex molds - might be quite the find if the molds are in good shape and you have the design and construction info..it would make a nice little cruiser or glider

    4 Stroke Induction Tuning

Google "velocity stack". Here's one Velocity Stacks, Motorcycle Velocity Stacks, Ram Tubes, Bellmouths hand-crafted by Velocity-of-Sound.com Or make your own outa Al or compost. Telescopic tubing is only $20-25+S&H..

If you're worried about the step transitions, you can taper aluminum tubes without a lot of effort as you see fit.

    4 Stroke Induction Tuning

A variety of Drawn on Mandrel (DOM) or double drawn tubing have close tolerances that will work. I've seen telescopic plastic arrangements at hardware stores. The easiest solution is probably ham radio telescopic architectural aluminium Texas Towers, Aluminum Tubing Page A captured oring or...

    4 Stroke Induction Tuning

Yep, tradeoffs, the individual runner lengths will also vary with rpm and temp. its non trivial and hard to fit in a cowl :) Alternatively, you could build a simpler ground adjustable runner or trumpet setup to find a design point for some rpm and then chase the resonance condition in flight...

    4 Stroke Induction Tuning

Your plan sounds like it should work but EGT response times are relatively slow at 2-10? seconds? Wideband O2 response times <0.1s would facilitate ground testing without flight or changing fuel flow. I assume you already have 6 EGT's and one of Ross' EFI-monitoring boxes? Which FI system? Do...

    4 Stroke Induction Tuning

Interesting project! Once the engine is running smoothly wideband O2 sensors will really help tuning, although the sensors have very short lifetimes with leaded fuel. Or test with mogas. Widebands are not expensive and are a good diagnostic tool. You should also be able to test on the ground...

    would this work on propellers?

Your link looks like one of the many Diamond Like Carbon coatings with properties all over map. In theory you could probably coat most materials but I've only ever heard of it on metals for much improved mechanical wear. Properties depend on the process and substrate. I've seen ceramic...

What's the not so obvious stuff you worry about when flying in very low temperatures

Re: What's the not so obvious stuff you worry about when flying in very low temperatu If only that were true, I would happily build skis every year so some other poor sod could shovel every winter :)
