Looking for a good used Altimeter and Airspeed indicator

Howdy; I am looking for a sensitive Altimeter for my model 4 kitfox panel. It should be adjusted in inches, and read 0-10K or 0-20k, and have two or more indicating hands, be in good shape, and not 100 years old, or anything like that. Lighted is a bonus. I will pay $100 plus shipping to...

Looking for a good used Transponder for kitfox

Howdy; I am looking for a good used transponder for my Kitfox , prewired with tray (so i just hook it up to power and ground), and a cabled altitude encoder, and antenna + cable. Age and model does not matter too much, but unless it has a fresh yellow tag or overhaul sticker, I don't pay much...

How many of you know someone who has had an engine out or engine problem landing

Having had a number of auto-conversion aircraft, and a two-stoker too, I suggest you meet all of the following before installing and flying a auto-conversion or two-stroke engine in your airplane: 1) Make sure your plane can land slowly and safely in a very small field, or better yet, a plowed...

Porsche powered Kitfox ?? YES !!!!

I replaced the cardboard firewall with stainless, and the wood landing gear with aluminum. Looks for like a plane kit now !!! Add some accessories under the hood, then put the cowling back on for a final fitting and I will be ready to install a prop and maybe run it too !!! Roger

How many of you know someone who has had an engine out or engine problem landing

my prop broke off while I was flying my Zenith 601 HDS, does that count as an "engine out"? Landed in a bean field, after a 10 minute decent and 9 miles later.

    Viking Engines

Yes, there is a very big problem with Viking engines, the owner. It's the Subaru aero engine guy, the one that left all his customers high and dry when he closed up shop. You buy a Viking engine, and you too will be left out in the cold, when he starts another aero engine company. He will cut...

Porsche powered Kitfox ?? YES !!!!

Here are some recent pics. Note the cardboard firewall and wood landing gear are being "upgraded" to metal this weekend. Roger

Porsche powered Kitfox ?? YES !!!!

Oh, lots of questions. Ok, so lets do some math to start: Light weight = $$$$ Roger = Cheap So (via substitution) Rogers Engine = heavy and cheap The Rotax 912 is better of course for the kitfox, but my budget would not even buy me the accessories on a 912 Rotax. The typical Type-1 VW Engine...

Porsche powered Kitfox ?? YES !!!!

Howdy all; I am new to this site, but have been on the kitfox site for awhile. Those guys are great over there, but they are "Rotax only" folks, and don't think too much about VW or any other power for the Kitfox, so I figured I would join this group too, and see if I can get some good advise...
