    Welding is not that hard, I bet with a weekend or two of practice you could produce adequate welds. Take a college course and you could be quite good actually.

    It's not a race. I build when I can and I enjoy every minute of it. After a hard week I find few things as pleasant as an hour or three of quality time with my project. Mine is still just a bunch of bits hanging on the wall but someday it will be a plane, I know it.

    By Coast Guard standards I've been obese for some time and even after losing 23 pounds I'm still obese... LOL. I usually pass our requirements with the tape measure instead of the scale. We have another weigh in this October and I hope I can pass by weight alone this time around.

    I went on a diet on July 12! So far I've lost 23 pounds and I plan to lose a total of 50. No magic weight loss pill. I reduced myself to 1500 calories a day which I track with a phone app called Fooducate. My diet could loosely be described as Paleo.

    Protecting and using old plans

    Most Blue Printing companies can copy very large format plans fairly inexpensively. I recently had an entire set printed for about $50. They will even save the scan's to a thumb drive or disk for you if you would like to look at them on a computer or print them again.
