What Battery for the essential buss

The goal is to keep the EIS and Sport-EX happy while the engine is starting. What batteries have been used, and which diode to separate it from the circuit during start up? I'm referring to adding the battery to B.N.'s Z-11.

Old MAC servo 3 LED position indicator

I'm rebuilding a Woody's Pusher that had a MAC elevator trim servo with the three LED position indicator. My question is what does the indicator tell you? Is it worth wiring in (there are two, one for each cockpit)?

I'm designing/building a new engine mount for a Woody's Pusher and need to establish the proper engine center line to provide sufficient clearance between the prop tips and the fuselage. How much clearance is usually found in similar aircraft (Breezy, Kolbs, etc.)?

    Intro from Oklahoma

Howdy! I'm Don and I'm addicted to airplanes. I currently fly a 1957 C182A that want's more attention than I want to give it, but it gets it anyways. I'm also rebuilding a Woody's Pusher, N10RY (Aviation photographs of Registration: N10RY : before Woody Pusher, N10RY: Accident occurred October...
