Is there a reason every plane that's a good deal is located in California? I feel like this mystery involves a floating green orb and a corvette driving astronaut.

Well, OK. I don't know where to look.

Experimental (ELSA / E-AB) No Longer Allowed for Flight Training??

FAA doesn't want commercial aircraft demoted to experimental. . . FAA doesn't want training in experimental aircraft. . . Commercial parts which primarily haven't changed in decades cost a ton of money even though the tooling was paid off a long time ago. . . Almost seems like a pattern here...

Recently bought Moni plans from plansforu.com. $6. I don't know if they are complete, I was just interested in the design and wanted to see what the plans looked like. They are all electronic, of course, and not particularly high quality, but for $6, it's not much of a risk.

Experimental (ELSA / E-AB) No Longer Allowed for Flight Training??

A complaint about that interpretation was that the CFI in the other seat was never considered a "passenger for hire". . . until now. Using that rule in this manner creates a precedent. Discovery flights could be suspended because of this interpretation. Moreover, I need to learn more about...

Why battery-powered aircraft will never have significant range

This is a long thread, and I'm coming in to it late, so hopefully I'm not re-walking a portion that was already discussed. . . Some years ago I read about a different concept in flight. It essentially involved a sort of dirigible. The concept involved a plane with a huge bladder filled with...
