    Over width stuff gets hauled all the time. The whole plane isn't over width, just the wing stubs. That makes it a lot easier. I see no problem loading that plane and its wings onto a trailer and hauling it wherever it needs to go. I'm guessing it can be trucked for about $3/mile.

    NASA doesn't agree with you. For a comparable thrust to weight ratio... Real airplane = 340HP ish. Real airplane weight = 3100 lbs. Real airplane power/weight ratio = 0.11 HP per pound. Model 50 pounds x 0.11 HP/lb = 5.5 HP or 4,000 watts. Certainly doable with today's electric RC motors.

    The Raptor will weigh about 3200 pounds ready to fly. The model was 1/4 scale. It would have to weigh 50 pounds in order to be a valid representation of the real plane. Something tells me the model weighs no where near that.
