Would be funny to see a Stack cluster and a quick release yoke hub.

Took the weekend to really think about it and talk it over with the Mrs. The compromise shall be seating arrangement. So now the bearhawk lsa is on the table. Thanks to everyone that has thrown their .02 in, it’s really helping a ton.

    Another “help me decide” thread.

This gives me a ton to chew on. The PA22-108 colt tail dragger seems a good platform to build up as the drawings are available and use a USA 35b Airfoil and spar spacing etc. I also see a few wagabond builds using colt drawings/dimensions with balanced tails, etc. One in particular was a...

    Another “help me decide” thread.

Funny you ask, I discovered the Volmer yesterday while researching amphibious floats. What an interesting design. I had to dismiss the amphib hull unfortunately as my desire would be first in bush wheels and secondary floats. The Christavia MKII is interesting! Wasn’t aware of its existence...

Maybe a 95% scaled companion? Regardless of my medical, having a 2200lb gross and associated fuel consumption is like having a Suburban when all you need is a 4Runner. The 0-320 it specs is a heavy 245lbs. I wonder what I could realistically get the companion down to with a lighter engine...

    Another “help me decide” thread.

Víctor Bravo, I’m not opposed to using premade things like Carlson spars, etc. The fuselage, if going the colt/pacer route, would be from shortwingpiperorg plans. There is one guy scratch building something similar to what I describe on supercub.org but it’s unfinished so performance numbers...

    Another “help me decide” thread.

Enough research, time to ask for help. I’m a welder/fabricator looking for a scratch built project. (Emphasis on scratch built) I have spent months looking through designs while trying to narrow it down and define my mission. I know I’ll have to compromise on something unless I modify an...

Scrappy’s Landing Gear Wings - Yay or Nay?

I love Mike’s childlike enthusiasm, it’s infectious. He’s a big part of why I’m on this forum. Most of the people I train Jiujitsu with are like this. Playful, lighthearted, enthusiastic people by day, absolute laser focused killers on the mat. So you can wear both hats. As far as the landing...

    Peter does it again

First post, long time lurker. My aviation time line. Obsessed with aviation as a 5-10 year old. Lose interest for 20 years. randomly click on Peter Sripol a few years ago, then FliteTest, Trent Palmer, Mike Patey, Down the inevitable rabbit hole and that obsession I had as a kid is...
