    Why is trailing link gear so good?

    From issues I've run run into, it's easier to use a trailing link gear than to design an oleo strut, find the correct size tubing, have it ground or honed, then chrome plated... you get the picture. I can count on one finger the places that carry large diameter 4130 tubing (that I could find)...
