Folks who must go with a particular cert engine are certainly pixxed. Especially when high end engines known for (many years) trending early valve/guide wear issues that keep coming including major assembly issues (piston rings upside down.. thru stud nut case crack) from brand new.- xwing

2016 Pentastar engine... worth considering?
looking into this engine.... https://www.motorreviewer.com/engine.php?engine_id=167 dunno about plastic intakes these days, there were lotsa cracking/leak issues when they first came out ~ 2000 VVT also acts up, more parts, solenoids etc & maintenance can be a total pia .....led to what's...- xwing
